This app is built on a simple promise: nothing you write here is shared, sold, or used to advertise to you. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and how to get rid of it whenever you like.

What we collect
When you create an account: your name and email address, used only to sign you in and send you the magic link — never a password, and never used for marketing without your separate consent.
When you use the app day to day: your daily question and answer, your check-in (a mood position and, if you choose, a short word), and the small artwork (“mark”) each day’s entry generates. This is the core of the product — the private record the app is built to keep for you.
If you order a print: a shipping address and payment details, handled by our payment processor directly — we never see or store your full card number.

What we don’t collect
We don’t use advertising trackers, analytics SDKs that build a profile of you, or any tool that shares your activity with ad networks. We don’t sell data, ever, to anyone, for any reason. There are no ads in this app.

How we use it
Your marks and check-ins are used for exactly one purpose: to show them back to you, and to generate the insights and yearly artwork the app is built around. We do not use your entries to train shared or third-party models. If we ever introduce AI-assisted features that process your entries, we’ll tell you plainly and let you opt out.

Where it’s stored
Your entries are stored securely and, where the app supports sync, encrypted in transit. Local-only data (kept only on your device) never leaves it unless you explicitly export or back it up.

Your rights
You can export everything — every mark, every insight — as a file, at any time, from Settings. You can delete your account and all associated data permanently, immediately, with no waiting period and no retained backup, also from Settings. We believe you should never have to ask us for this.

Third parties
We use a small number of service providers to operate the app: a cloud hosting provider to store your data securely, a payment processor for print orders, and a shipping partner to fulfil them. Each only receives the minimum information needed to do their specific job, and none are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

Children’s privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is used, we’ll notify you in the app before the change takes effect, not just update this page quietly.
