By creating an account or using Unredacted, you agree to these terms. We’ve tried to write them like we’d actually explain them to you, not like a contract designed to be skimmed past.

The service
Unredacted is a self-knowledge app: a daily question and check-in that generates a small piece of generative artwork (“a mark”), which accumulates over a year into a personal artwork you can optionally have printed. It is not a medical, therapeutic, or diagnostic product, and shouldn’t be treated as professional advice of any kind.

Your account
You’re responsible for keeping access to your account secure. We use passwordless sign-in (a magic link to your email), so protecting your email account is effectively protecting your Unredacted account. You must be old enough to legally use this app in your country, and at least 13 years old regardless.

Your content
Everything you enter — your answers, check-ins, and words — belongs to you. We don’t claim ownership of it, and we don’t use it for anything beyond showing it back to you and generating your insights and artwork, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use
Use the app as it’s intended: as a private, personal record. Don’t attempt to access another person’s account, interfere with the app’s operation, or use it in any way that violates applicable law. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this.

Purchases
Print orders are final once production begins, since each one is a signed, individually numbered edition made specifically for you. Pricing, shipping estimates, and edition details are shown clearly before you order. If something arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us and we’ll make it right.

No guarantees about insights
The patterns and insights the app surfaces are generated from your own answers using pattern-matching logic, not professional analysis. We work hard to only show a pattern once there’s genuine evidence for it, and to say so honestly when there isn’t enough evidence yet — but nothing in the app should be treated as fact about who you are, only as one honest reflection of what you’ve told it.

Availability
We aim to keep the app reliably available but don’t guarantee uninterrupted access — occasional maintenance or outages can happen. Your locally-stored data remains accessible on your device even if our servers are briefly unavailable.

Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, immediately and permanently. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms, we’ll notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
